Ahlers is an international dynamic player in the field of
logistics and maritime services. The group consists today of a
network of 43 own offices spread over Europe, CIS and Asia. We are
employing more than 900 people and we can rely on an excellent
network of agents and partners.
In Saint Petersburg Ahlers is active in international forwarding,
distribution, warehousing, customs brokerage and agency. The Ahlers
team in Saint Petersburg consists of 150 people (in two locations)
and is expanding rapidly.
Last year we opened our 25.000m2 distribution center “ALC” : our
full capacity is already operational for MNC’s and we are planning
for futher expansion.
To realise our ambitions and to support the growth of our company
we are looking for a
Commercial Director.
He/she will be responsible for all aspects of sales and business
development of our activities in St Peterburg in close cooperation
with the other offices of the Ahlers network. The Commercial
Director will be part of the Management team and will report
directly to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
To diagnose effectively market and customer opportunities and
to establish contacts on the highest level with customers and
prospects
To sell the Ahlers logistics service portfolio to existing and
new customers in the region
To work out logistics sollutions, deliver proposals, make
presentations and negotiate prices and contracts
To be in close contact with other offices of the Ahlers network
in order to approach and serve customers in joint effort the rest
of the CIS
To develop the sales approach of the organization and to build
a strong sales team
Requirements:
University degree in Economics /Business/Technical or
equivalent.
Fluent business English
Experienced in international sales of  logistics
services
Knowledge of the CIS market and the logistics industry
Having international exposure and working experience with a
western company
Undisputable sales drive and hunting spirit
Strong in communication, networking and negotiating
Able to work independently, result-oriented and proactive
Ready to travel regularly
Irreproachable behaviour
